That's the fan payment model. Fans join TapNPay+, select their favorite athlete or program, and pay at 300+ national brands using instant digital gift cards. Every transaction earns the fan ~4% cash back and generates revenue for whoever they selected. No fundraisers. No events. No extra cost.

Q: How do I redeem my cash back?+
Cash back can be redeemed two ways:
1. Apply toward a digital gift card: Add the gift card to your cart. On the payment screen, click the box that states "Apply Available Cash Back" and complete the order. Your cash back will be deducted from the total. If your gift card is more than your available cash, your selected credit card will be charged for the balance.
2. Redeem for a Check: From the Dashboard, click "Redeem Cash" in the Cash Earned box. Choose "Send Me a Check" and the check will be mailed to the shipping address on the account. Or choose "Send as a Gift" to send it to someone else. Allow 5–7 business days. Reminder: check requests under $25 have a $5 processing fee.
Q: Isn't this just like Rakuten?+
No, not at all. With TapNPay+, you earn cash in stores AND online. Cash back can also be earned at 100s of restaurants nationwide. TapNPay+ cash back is instant — not deposited quarterly like Rakuten. And cash back can be applied directly to your next purchase within the app.
Best of all, TapNPay+ can be used alongside Rakuten for double rewards! Example: shop Under Armour through Rakuten and earn their % back, then pay at checkout with a TapNPay+ digital gift card to stack both rewards.
Q: Can I use TapNPay+ with sales and coupons?+
Yes! Smart shoppers maximize coupons, promo codes, and store sales first, then use TapNPay+ to earn cash back on the already-discounted checkout price. Stack your savings.
Q: Can I have multiple payment methods on file?+
Yes. You can store multiple payment methods for buying digital gift cards. Add them in your profile or during checkout by selecting "Save for Later." You can also nickname cards for easy reference.
Q: How do I check a gift card balance?+
Go to your Wallet and press the "Check Balance" button next to any digital gift card to see the current balance. If the option isn't available, the merchant doesn't support balance checks through TapNPay+. In that case, visit the merchant's website or check the instructions on the digital gift card itself.
Q: Can I use this to buy plastic gift cards?+
Generally no. Most merchants do not allow digital gift cards to be used for purchasing physical gift cards. For example, you cannot buy a CVS digital gift card and then use it in-store to purchase plastic gift cards. Some merchants also restrict other purchase types — check with the merchant if you're unsure.
Q: Forgot to use TapNPay+ — can I still get cash back?+
Unfortunately not. Merchants only provide cash back when their digital gift cards are purchased through TapNPay+. We cannot add cash back for purchases made outside the app.
Q: Is there a membership fee?+
Yes, TapNPay+ operates on a low-cost annual membership model. This membership gives you full access to the app, all 300+ brand partners, and unlimited instant cash back. The membership pays for itself quickly — most members earn it back within their first few purchases.
